After a minor electrical fire at height of the 1941 Christmas rush, 2666 recuperates at the Roseville west yard.	Repairs came quickly and the king of the fleet was back on the line three days later.

Interior view reveals removal of four rows of seats for repair of fire damage. 2666 and 2614--but not 8006--were equipped with these fancy window shades, a far cry from thesame-old, same-old black shades worn by the rest of the fleet. Note the Christmas wreath hanging in the seventh window from the left, a homey touch by a great corporation in an age when wreaths were not stolen and the rare graffiti read, "I love Jerry" in lipstick letters an inch high on the back of a seat.
