A quiet layover for 2670 on the Mississippi Avenue spur on a late fall afternoon. The Eagle Rock line continued along these tracks to the intersection to the rear of the car, then turned left to begin the long climb up Orange Mountain to the summit.

Agasote roofing on the compromise roof cars afforded excellent leakproof protection from the environment. The North Jersey winters, mild by comparison with midwest and upper New York State usually brought two or three heavy storms, testing the mettle of cars and men.
